PRANA VIDYA.

Prana Vidya is a Sanskrit term meaning knowledge (vidya) of the vital energy (prana). Pranic vibration is at the base of all life. A process called Kirlian photography impressively illustrates this. According to yoga, human beings have five levels or koshas of prana, from the physical to the bliss level. These levels or bodies coexist, and vibrate at different frequencies, permeating one another. Whatever work we do on one level also affects the others. For example our physical body is dependent on the pranic body. The pranic body vibrates at a higher frequency than the physical body and is more subtle. It pervades and supports the physical body with energy through the subtle energy system called the nadis. In this course you will learn about the different bodies or koshas according to yogic philosophy and the technique of Prana Vidya stage 1, and stage 2 if you have already done stage 1 previously. Generally the technique includes special visualizations and meditations to develop awareness and strengthen the various pranas. Prana Vidya opens our awareness to the vast stores of energy within. It teaches how to consciously control prana for healing and in order to expand consciousness.

Where did Prana Vidya come from?
The technique of Prana Vidya has its roots in the deep tantrik past. It was Satyananda Paramahansa from India who re-presented this specific technique in recent times.
